Our Story
Yar Café was shaped by a shared dream, one rooted in coffee.
With years of hands-on experience in the café world, Farhad has always approached coffee as a thoughtful and intentional craft, from choosing quality ingredients to the details behind the bar.
Pooneh, who worked as a barista while continuing her artistic practice, was looking for a space to create, a place where art would not be separate from everyday life but naturally present within it. These experiences led to the idea of bringing coffee and art together, creating a space for making, sharing, and inviting others into that process.
From the very beginning, supporting local artists and sharing the space with them was an essential part of this vision, because sharing is the foundation of building a real community.
Living far from their original home and searching for a sense of belonging, they imagined a place that feels simple, welcoming, and familiar, a space to gather, slow down, and feel at ease with others.
At Yar, coffee and art exist side by side in a natural and practical way, each one completing the other.
Yar is a place for connection and creativity, and for anyone looking for a small pause in their day.
